THE CONCEPT OF THE SOVE LONÈ POLICY PLATFORM (PPSL)

« I have spent sleepless nights giving you this piece of land, take good care of it so that it remains a national heritage forever ».

Dear compatriots of the land and of DIASPORA, our country, Haiti, was built on January 1, 1804 with the pretension of being a just and welcoming nation which would present to the whole world a model society, guided by enlightened and creative leaders and where the man would live in dignity, peace and material self-sufficiency. Two years after its creation, our nation failed this divine mission with the assassination of our own liberator, Jean-Jacques Dessalines, on October 17, 1806. However, we must not despair. After breaking the chains of slavery for the benefit of all mankind, we made headlines again on February 7, 1986, demonstrating to the whole world that the dictatorship was incompatible with the concept of national collective happiness.

The 2015 and 2016 elections proved that democracy in Haiti is a fraud. The institution, constitutionally mandated to run elections, usually sells mandates to the highest bidders. The government uses all fraud and most of the state's resources to elect its own candidates. Population who expects nothing from elected officials demands only a plate of lentils (1000 gourdes) for their vote.

Some political parties have been created solely to appropriate state funds for candidates and to meet the personal needs of their leaders and acolytes. The middle class shunned the election by abstaining from voting. Part of the international community relying on the Westphalian doctrine of 1654 which imposes on the universe the principle Rex est imperator in regno suo, the king is the emperor in his domain, it enforces the status quo and applauds the electoral masquerade.

Here we are! Haiti has just been classified as the poorest country on the planet. This designation should inspire us to change our behavior so that we can climb the glorious ladder of national independence. We were the first black nation in the world to shake off the yoke of slavery on January 1, 1804, not only for ourselves but also for all the peoples of the earth.

Derived from the fact that Haiti, after two hundred years, a nation that should be the light and salt of the earth, represents for some foreign detractors a "basket case" and for others a "shitty land". Without accepting the characterization of his detractors, we Haitians have betrayed the mission and the wishes from our founder Jean Jacques Dessalines who left us this message:

Promote good citizenship, female leadership, sustainable development, good governance, respect for the values of the Republic in order to promote and encourage the emergence of a "New Haitian citizen", the rule of law, 'a just, united and law-abiding society. The objective and the concept of the Socio-Political Platform SoveLonè derives from the fact that Haiti, after two hundred years, a nation which should be the light and the salt of the earth, represents for some foreign detractors a "basket case" and for others a "shitty land". Without accepting the characterization of our detractors, we Haitians have betrayed the mission and the wishes of our founder Jean Jacques Dessalines who left us this message: "I have spent whole nights sleepless to give you this piece of land, take good care of it so that it can become a well-kept treasure for each of you and a light for mankind. "

The main axes of the nation project
To build an organized, functional, fair and pleasant nation for all, Haitian citizens must force their leaders to:
1. Promote the feeling of national belonging and the sense of solidarity among all social strata of the country, so that the common heritage is enriched by all and benefits all. Thus future generations will be inspired by this practice and will be able to pursue the fundamental objectives of the nation.
2. Provide the country with healthy institutions and excellent infrastructure covering the entire national territory, in neighborhoods, rural sections, towns, cities, and the capital so that Haitians stay at home and stop being nomadic in his own country and abroad.
3. Reach out to all sectors of society, especially marginalized communities such as rural areas and urban ghettos. The latter deserve special attention which will enable them to catch up with the better-off of the population.
4. Make Haiti proud, independent, without foreign interference and having its own army so that it rediscovers its tradition as an avant-garde nation throughout the world and shares the anguish as well as the happiness of other nations according to Toussaint's wishes Louverture: “Happiness for all in Haiti and in the world”, as revealed by Franco-Cuban researcher Alain Carpentier in his historical research book on Haiti: Haiti, el Reino de este mundo. We can also add the wishes of Jean-Jacques Dessalines who warned us that the homeland is a work in progress, an ongoing process.
